Summer Term 2012

Summer Term 2012 will offer an array of courses, including a number of music courses, historical and theological study of alternative religions in America, instruction in family systems, and a travel immersion course in Appalachia. Students can register for one-week or three-week courses for credit or audit. The Summer Term begins June 4. You may register up until Thursday, May 31, on a space-available basis.

Black History Month Cause for Reflection

In a blog for Living Lutheran, Trinity alumnus Ken Wheeler ('82) reflects on those African American Lutherans who made a difference in his life and the lives of others. Read Wheeler's tribute that includes Nelson W. Trout and Rudolph Featherstone at Living Lutheran. Ken will also give this year's commencement address to graduating seniors of Trinity and Bexley Hall Seminary on May 19, 2012.

Finding Nourishment at Holden

There are times in our lives when we provide for others, and there are times when we need to be fed. I had spent two years in seminary, a full summer in the hospital for CPE, and would soon begin a year-long internship. In the two months I had free before internship, I knew that I needed to be fed. I had heard people talk about a Lutheran retreat center in the state of Washington called Holden Village. They told me about the beautiful mountains, the community of people, and the uniqueness of the village. This past summer I journeyed there with my partner Sara.
